Angie Vargas........Angie Vargas is a self-taught creative young woman raised in New York City since the tender age of six. She travelled from the Dominican Republic with her Mother and younger Brother to a land promising a brighter future and new beginnings. Angie's first language, Spanish, was no obstacle when she entered first grade at Bloomingdale Public School; she astonishingly became fluent in English within the year. Her love for art and creativity was present and evident to her teachers, even at that young age, when she displayed interests in painting and molding.

She took turns studying in New York and the Dominican Republic yearly in an effort to learn about her roots and not forget her primary language. At the age of twelve, while studying at Los Clavelines in Santo Domingo, she took part in a small art program which taught her the very basics of drawing, shading and painting.

After taking part in this program, she then traveled back to New York where she decided to stay for good, and began pursuing web and graphic design from home as a hobby. Little did she know, this hobby would become both a passion and a job, giving her an opportunity to expand and display her talents whilst being gratified for her services.

By the age of 18 she knew how to code, design and manage her own websites. Her graphic and web design skills were obvious to many friends whom asked for her collaboration in various successful projects.

However, Angie's talents are not limited to digital media; she enjoys experimenting with different art mediums and has done many abstract, still-life and impressionist pieces. In addition, Angie has worked as a professional make-up artist and beauty expert for many high-end brands and in November 2007 she put her web & graphic design skills as well as her beauty knowledge together to form EyeshadowCult.com - a product reviewing community for young beauty junkies like herself. The website is still up and running and is highly acknowledged and respected by many new and established brands for its power to reach potential customers.

Recently, she opened up a new door by experimenting with photography. She likes to shoot nature, portraits, candids, still life, landscapes and editorial. As with everything she does, she is eager to learn everything there is to know about photography, and perfect it to capture her unique view of life.

Ms. Vargas has always been optimistic about sculpting her knowledge of the many different crafts she's mastered and remains that way about her future. When it comes to creativity and expression, Angie does not discriminate. The sky is truly the limit.
