so about 2 nights ago I had what I believe was my first real out of body experience! it's very exciting for me because I've been trying to have an OBE in a while, even read up methods to induce one.
I'm sort of disappointed in certain aspects of it, but I'm hoping that next time it happens I can master my mistakes.
it was actually really weird because I think I was already in deep sleep when it took place. they say that it's usually when you're in that inbetween state of being half awake and half asleep. anyway. so, suddenly I became lucid during my sleep and...for some reason it felt like a weird movie effect where I could suddenly see through my eyelids?! it was so surreal. the fact that I knew it was happening made it difficult for how well it flowed, because my nervousness got in the way. so somehow if I managed to get out of my body, I would get back in and see through my eyelids again.
finally, I think I managed to sit up on my bed and I told myself to look back so I could see my body, but I think I was too scared. I looked back a little and saw my sheets and that sent me riiiight back into my body. then I got out one more time and this time, I wanted to get up and explore the apartment. but um....I couldn't get up. my legs weren't strong enough for me to get up. it felt like when your legs "fall asleep" and you have no control over your muscles. I tried as hard as I could and couldn't get them to move, so I decided to throw myself on the floor and crawl to my livingroom, but I guess the impression that I was moving was too much and it made me snap right back into my body and wake up.
now, this leg thing bothers me because apparently, my legs are never any good when I'm in a dreamy state. every time I have a dream where I am running or need to walk faster, my legs feel like I'm running but in slow motion. this is what usually creates my nightmares.
i wonder why my legs don't function when I need to use them and if there's an underlying meaning to that. hmm.
either way... I can't believe I could see through my eyelids lmao! i think that was the funnest part. i guess my eyelids became "transparent" every time I would rise up from my body.
I'm trying to think of what I did that night that could've possibly helped me have that experience but I can't recall anything in particular.
oh wells, I'm gonna go read up on other people's experiences a little bit on
Unsolved Mysteries. wow. I still can't believe that site has the same layout it had back in 1999 when I first began visiting it, lol.
